Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as the White House, have responded to the shooting that took place at Donald Trump’s golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida on Sunday. Reports emerged that there were shots fired at the Trump International Golf Course, which appear to have been fired by Secret Service agents after a man was spotted on the course with what agents perceived to be a gun.

According to CBS News, "The President and Vice President have been briefed about the security incident at the Trump International Golf Course, where former President Trump was golfing. They are relieved to know that he is safe," the White House said in a statement. "They will be kept regularly updated by their team."

Harris also posted that she had been briefed on the indecent. "I have been briefed on reports of gunshots fired near former President Trump and his property in Florida, and I am glad he is safe."

After the shots were fired, the Trump campaign reponded, "President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity."

Secret Service agents fired on the suspect who had a gun on the golf course. After the agents engaged, the suspect immediately fled from the scene and was soon apprehended afterward.
