The account, @whitehouse, posted an initial video with Trump saying that he wakes "up determined, to deliver a better life for the people all across this nation."
"I am your voice," Trump adds. The caption to the video read, "America we are BACK! What’s up TikTok?"
The launch on the social media platform is reminiscent of when then presidential candidate Trump launched a TikTok page for his campaign in the 2024 election cycle. That account, @realdonaldtrump, was able to rack up over 15 million followers.
As of Tuesday evening, the White House account had over 30,000 within hours of its official launch.
The president used the social media platform, as well as other alternative media platforms, to boost his message to younger people leading up to the 2024 election cycle.
A second video posted by the Trump White House account after the first showed various shots of the White House in the different seasons and gatherings at the building, with the caption, "We're so back."
In a statement, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said, "The Trump administration is committed to communicating the historic successes President Trump has delivered to the American people with as many audiences and platforms as possible."
"President Trump's message dominated TikTok during his presidential campaign, and we're excited to build upon those successes and communicate in a way no other administration has before," she added.
