“Every time I get a subpoena, you know my polls go up,” he said.
"We love Trump! We love Trump!" The crowd called out in unison as President Donald Trump took the stage in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
"And we love you," Trump replied.

The event was so packed, Trump said, that thousands of people were outside and couldn't get into the venue. Huge numbers turned out in South Carolina last week, as well, and he also spoke at the Moms for Liberty Summit in Philadelphia.
While Trump repeated many of the same talking points that have been seen at his rallies across the US, diving into specific local issues, about which he was well-versed, what has become clear over the past few months is that America has not had enough of Trump, and Trump has not had enough of leading.
Polls are bearing this out, and while the Biden administration continues to prosecute him and his supporters, a population that is still running steady at something like half of the country, is not swayed.
"Every time I get a subpoena, you know my polls go up, I get more and more subpoenas. 'Report to a grand jury! He's killing Biden!'" he said.
"These are crooked people. It's called weaponization of the Department of Justice, the FBI. We've never had anything like this. And it's all bullsh*t, too," he said to wild applause. "That's why my polls go up. I'm the only person who ever got indicted who got more popular! Because people understand it, they read it, they see it."

As Trump continues to dominate in the GOP primary polls and makes headway in odds for the general election against Joe Biden, it's clear that his supporters only want more of him, his policies, and his optimistic view for the United States.

"We're going to evict a very crooked president, Joe Biden, from the White House," he said, joking that he's taken the term "crooked" from Hillary Clinton, and applied it to Joe.

His focus for Iowa was on farmers' rights, which have been under fire from a Biden administration that sought to apply affirmative action to the distribution of loans from the Department of Agriculture. Trump touted his record of cutting regulations against farmers, even as the Netherlands is increasing its restrictions on farmers, taking their land, and demanding that food producers reduce carbon emissions.
Trump spoke about ending the estate tax, which would help farmers pass their farms down through generations without being subjected to egregious death taxes. Ending NAFTA and opening Canadian markets to US producers, he said, was a boon to US food producers, as was the $28 billion he distributed to farmers during his term in office.
"Canada sounds so lovely but they really ripped off our farmers, really ripped off our country," he said of the trade conditions before USMCA. He declared that it should absolutely not be renegotiated, despite Canada's wish to make a new deal with Biden. "Don't do it," he said.
His record on ethanol is unparalleled, a huge deal for Iowa, which makes much of the corn used in the fuel source’s production.
DeSantis, he said "is a globalist sell out." Trump endorsed DeSantis in his first gubernatorial race, saying "I endorsed him and he ended up winning. He was losing, so low. He was lower than anybody I said: 'Ron even if George Washington came back from the dead and you have the support of Abraham Lincoln. You can get elected.'"
Trump said that there's no reason to be harming farms, targeting their land, or targeting food production. The green lobby and progressive Democrats have been pushing against farming, not just in the US but globally, as a means to reduce carbon emissions.
"Under Joe Biden it has been a nonstop war on American agriculture, you know that more than anybody," he said, listing Biden's record on ethanol, taxes, and his push for electric vehicles, which would reduce the need for ethanol.
"Everyone wants to drive for an hour and then run out of energy," he said.
Trump got huge applause and cheers from the crowd as he spoke about the need for gas-powered vehicles, ethanol, US energy independence, and the high price of fertilizer. He said he would eliminate the electric vehicle mandates. Trump repeated his calls for peace in Ukraine, saying Russia would not have invaded had he been in office.
"In the end," he said, "they're not after me, they're after you, and I just happen to be standing in the way. And I promise you this, if you put me back into the White House... their reign will be over and America will be a free nation once again. We're not afraid."
He blasted the press for not even covering Biden's financial misdoings, bribery scandal, saying "Biden is a stone-cold corrupt thief."

Trump spoke about his time in office and his plans for the future, detailing stories as to how he negotiated with Mexico and other nations to deport illegal immigrants, imitating Emmanuel Macron, saying how tough Putin said Trump was on Russia, and delivering other anecdotes of leading the United States, the crowd gave their rapt attention.
Trump owned the Supreme Court decisions that are so popular in the US, from the overturning of affirmative action for college admissions, striking down Biden's plans to forgive student loan debt, the reversal of Roe v. Wade, and making abortion a states' rights issue, the upholding of religious liberty, are all a result of his appointments to the bench.
"I will prevent World War 3," he said. The crowd was thrilled. No one else on the political landscape has made that promise, and certainly, no one was believed when they made statements that they are seeking peace while advocating for war.
Trump was able to keep the crowd engaged while walking through complicated issues including currency devaluation, trade negotiations, federal agencies, and America's standing on the world stage.
