During a White House event on Monday, President Joe Biden appeared to freeze up for about a minute while many people around him were dancing to a Juneteenth celebration.
The Trump War Room posted the video of Biden being motionless on X, commenting, "Lights are on but no one’s home." Many others shared the video around with the president appearing to be having a moment that is sometimes common with those who are in their older years.

Other Republicans also took notice. Trump advisor adviser Steven Cheung joked online that it appeared to be that Biden may be under the influence of drugs. “BIDEN: These edibles ain’t sh*t. *15 minutes later*," he wrote online.

Conservative influencer Paul A. Szypula, posted, more concerned with the situation, saying, "What’s wrong with Biden?"

Biden was standing next to George Floyd's brother Philonise Floyd during the video, who appeared to rouse Biden at one point, wrapping his arm around the president and sharing a few words with Biden. The two gave each other a fist bump and they continued listening to the music performance.
The freeze-up is not the first time Biden has appeared to have a more senior moment, and likely will not be the last. During the summer of 2023, Biden claimed to have ended cancer "as we know it" during a speech.
There has been a push from the House GOP to have the audio recordings of Biden's interviews with Special Counsel Robert Hur released as well. Hur did not further prosecute Biden in the classified documents case, with one primary reason being that Biden would come off to a jury as a "sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory."
