The Missouri Attorney General, Andrew Bailey, has called for the 15-year-old black female who smashed a white female student's head against the concrete to be tried as an adult.
In a post, Bailey wrote, "This evil and complete disregard for human life has no place in Missouri, or anywhere."

The post was in response to a fight between two teenage girls near Hazelwood High School in Missouri which ended with a white student, identified as Kailee in reports, being taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Video of the graphic incident went viral over the weekend and led to backlash against the school.

Bullying and fighting in the community is an issue for which we all need to take ownership and work towards a resolution for the sake of our children. The Hazelwood School District offers our sincerest condolences to everyone involved, and will offer additional emotional support from our support and crisis team to those in need.”
The school has faced mounting public pressure for reports of its DEI programs as well as allegedly having a culture of anti-white racism. The school has a history of fights, according to neighbors in the area, where students will take problems off campus to settle grievances.
The victim is still in critical condition and the student charged is being held by the St. Louis County police.
