View on YouTubeSpeaking to the CBC about the family, one friend said that "for 20 years they've had quite the journey and they've always stuck together.
"No matter how hard it was, they always stayed together. They always focused on family and staying together. There were times when they literally had nothing but they always stuck together. At least they died together," they added.
Aaron Tuck was a mechanic and Jolene Oliver was a waitress. Originally from Alberta, they moved to the maritime province to look after their family.
They had a child together, Emily, who was close to graduating high school to become either a mechanic or a musician.
The mass shooting took place over 12 hours on Sunday, after which the gunman was finally shot and killed by police officers. The shooter lived across the street from the family.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown restrictions, it will be difficult for the families and friends of the victims to come together in mourning.
