Activists leave guillotine outside Jeff Bezos’ DC home

According to The Daily Wire, the activists, who call themselves "Abolish The Present Reconstruct Our Future", demanded the abolition of Amazon on Sunday.

The sign set up before the guillotine read: "Support out poor communities not our wealthy men."

A tweet last week from Senator Lindsey Graham, about the progressive victories in Kentucky and New York, compared it to the French Revolution.

Inspired by that, Dan Saltzstein, an editor at The New York Times, tweeted out: "The French Revolution, you say? In which rising social and economic equality led to a democratic overthrow of a monarchy and the establishment of a republic? That French Revolution?"

And New Republic writer Katelyn Burns wrote: "Ah yes, the infamous French Revolution, which overthrew an out of touch royalty and aristocracy out of power to install and American style democracy."

Bezos would perhaps qualify as "out of touch aristocracy." Many of those had their privilege treated by the blade of a guillotine.

The organizers of the anti-Amazon protest announced their intentions on Twitter, saying: "Amazon works directly with police to surveil us, stoking racist fears in the name of profit. Doubling down on their union busting and mistreatment of workers, Amazon fired and racially slandered labor organizer Chris Smalls. Join us to tell Bezos enough is enough! END THE ABUSE AND PROFITEERING. ABOLISH THE POLICE, THE PRISONS, AND AMAZON."

Anti-racism protests that have turned anti-police and anti-government are now turning anti-rich, as well. Over the weekend, a protest in the Beverly Hills neighborhood featured shouts of "eat the rich."
