Air Canada has announced the suspension of all flights to and from the United States from April 26 until at least through May 22. This is a result of the coronavirus pandemic prevention and containment measures.
Canada's largest airline still had select, limited service flights to the United States from its three major flight hubs, Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. Flights still trafficked from 11 cities in the United States.
Airline cancellation and change fees are expected to be waved, with the possibility of rescheduling with no added fees.
Since the announcement of the closure of the Canadian-US border, Air Canada has cancelled more than 90 percent of their flights, with the only remaining flights intended to repatriate Canadians stuck abroad.
Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and immediate family members holding a valid travel document have been permitted to board flights to Canada from the US until this point.
