Black Lives Matter mural outside Trump Tower has been defaced again, one cop injured

The first incident was reported to have taken place around 4 p.m., which sparked outrage from onlookers, according to CBS News.

Juliet Germanotta, who donned a rainbow flag and pro-Trump face mask, said: "It should be all lives. All includes Black lives, brown lives, white lives."

She added that if "cops wanted to put Blue Lives Matter, Dumbo will say 'no.' De Blasio is Dumbo."

Germanotta had made known her plans to deface the mural on Facebook video, saying: "So this Friday, 4 o'clock at Trump Tower, operation paint drop."

CBS reported that a total of four people were involved in the incident. Germanotta and two others D'Anna Morgan and Luis Martinez, were taken into custody and charged with criminal mischief. The outlet added that a 64-year-old was given a summons for the illegal posting of flyers.

A similar incident occurred on Monday, where a man splashed red paint across the yellow lettering of the Black Lives Matter mural. The incident drew in the Department of Transportation, who quickly went to work in repairing the mural.

The mural was defaced yet again on Saturday afternoon when several black Trump supporters covered the letters in black. One police officer sustained minor injuries during the incident in what appears to be an accident.

"When we say 'Black Lives Matter,' there is no more American statement, there is no more patriotic statement because there is no America without Black America," de Blasio said, according to The Associated Press. "We are acknowledging the truth of ourselves as Americans by saying 'Black Lives Matter.' We are righting a wrong."
