On Saturday, President Biden finally admitted that the situation on the southern border was a crisis.

A group of Republican politicians has written to Vice President Kamala Harris in an effort to discuss and end to America's border crisis.
Rep. Jim Jordan, Rep. John Katko and Rep. James Comer requested this meeting so that they could clarify the Biden-Harris Administration's position on the matter, and whether they have a solution at all.
In an open letter published on Twitter, they told Harris that "President Joe Biden delegated the Administration's response to the humanitarian and security crisis at the southern border to you. However, it is unclear what, if any, actions you have directed or plan to initiate to respond to the crisis that continues to worsen every day."
"We request the opportunity to meet with you as soon as possible" they added.
"The situation at the southern border is a crisis," they continued. "Your characterization of it as a 'huge problem' is an understatement."
In their final paragraph, the three representatives wrote, rather tersely, that "the crisis at the southern border is a creation of the radical policies of the Biden-Harris administration."

President Biden, after finishing golf, says refugee cap was linked to the “crisis that ended up on the border with young people.”
He reportedly used the word earlier today, stating that the refugee cap was linked to the "crisis that ended up on the border with young people".
By refugee cap, President Biden is referring to the Trump administration's 15,000 refugees per year cap. The policy was adopted by the Biden administration, but, according to the Associated Press, after backlash from the far-left, the president recently stated that he will "move to lift ... refugees caps next month."
As CNN reports, the number of migrants trying to enter the southern border this year is estimated to be 2 million. According to The Daily Wire, that's "more than the population of Alaska, Vermont, and Wyoming–combined".
The Biden administration's handling of the southern border has drawn ire from across the political spectrum. For some, he's been too harsh, while for others, he hasn't been nearly strict enough.
Republican governors of both Texas and Arizona recently wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post where they urged the president to visit the border in-person to see the dire conditions migrants face, something he has yet to do since taking office. They also laid out a number of recommendations to fix the problem.
