Conservative leader Erin O'Toole attacked Prime Minister Trudeau for turning to China for Canada's vaccine procurement.
In a press conference in Ottawa, O'Toole attacked the Liberal government's vaccine strategy, going on to say that Trudeau "turned to China of all countries [to manufacture vaccines]. It was the worst in a series of poor decisions. We are still scrambling to catch up."
"This is leading to an erosion of public confidence," added the Conservative leader.

The Conservative Party will now lobby the government to establish a special, public inquiry into Canada's pandemic policies. In addition to this, O'Toole also demanded a special monitor to oversee future policy decisions.
This special monitor would "track the pandemic response in real-time so that Canada can avoid this in the future."
"Canada must be better prepared for future threats. To secure the future we must learn from the past," concluded the Ontario-based leader.
