Cody's bio on his campaign page describes him as "a native East Tennesseean, born and raised in the small town of Cosby, Tennessee. He is engaged to marry the love of his life, Ms. Katilyn Webb of Parrottsville, Tennessee, and is a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Parrottsville, Tennessee."

He and his family have called House District 11 their home for the past 30 years, where he was raised with the Christian, conservative, mountain values that make our home the best place to live on earth.

"His passion was always public service and voicing his views on Christian conservative values, which is why he ran and was elected Chairman of the Cocke County Republican Party at age 22 in 2019, a position he held until 2026," it continues. "An active political columnist, Kenny has been published across the nation in conservative publications, including Human Events (where he serves as opinion editor). He has even been recognized by President Donald Trump for his work, with the President calling his columns "Really Smart!" for his thoughts on the America First movement.
