The Seattle Police Department has released video footage of an officer involved shooting where officers killed a man armed with a knife at the Seattle Waterfront Tuesday night.
According to the Seattle Police Department, at approximately 9:20 pm, "Port of Seattle Police contacted SPD about a man in crisis, armed with a knife, at Alaskan Way and Seneca Street."
The video begins with a call to 911 from the Port of Seattle Police regarding a man in crisis. "I've got, um, one of my units. that's on a suicidal subject. He's got a knife to his neck… Suicidal subject a knife to his throat… White male, bald, black jacket, black pants. And they didn't say anything about drugs or alcohol yet. Right."

Then the video shows the bodycam footage of one of the officers who shot the man. The officers pull up to the man and exit the vehicle. One officer can be heard warning the other, "Hold on, watch out. He's got a knife."
The man advances towards the officers with the knife in hand. Officers order the man to stop and the man audibly refuses and can be heard saying "please kill me" as he rushes the police officers with the knife.
The officers then open fire killing the man. Medics and officers attempted to provide medical assistance to the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. A knife with what appears to be blood on the blade was recovered at the scene.
According to a statement released by SPD, “Port of Seattle Police approached the man and attempted to use a less-lethal tool, but the device was ineffective.” The man moved toward officers, and two Seattle Police officers fired, fatally striking the man.”
Seattle police said the incident "remains an active and ongoing investigation by the Force Investigation Team and the Office of Police Accountability. New and updated information will continue to be added to this post as it becomes available."
According to SPD sources, the incident has the appearance of a 'suicide by cop.'
This is the second officer involved shooting in a week in Seattle. On February 9, Gregory Taylor allegedly walked up to a car in the parking lot of the Northwest African American Museum and Jimi Hendrix Park and shot two women sitting inside. One died and the other was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
Taylor raised his gun to responding officers and was fatally shot by police.
Both shootings on Feb 9 were captured on surveillance and police body cameras.
Antifa activists began organizing a march in response to the news of the latest shooting Tuesday night before any details were released, demonizing the police in social media posts and calling for direct action.
Wednesday night, activists, reportedly including some from Portland, assembled at Westlake Park and 6pm and marched through downtown Seattle. During the march, The Post Millennial's Katie Daviscourt was assaulted by an Antifa mob.

View on XBlack-clad Antifa militants hurled projectiles at the West Precinct police station and then pivoted to target Daviscourt and her chant her name.
"Katie's here!" the crowd shouted in her direction as she filmed the event.
That's when the radicals started to harass the reporter with their large black umbrellas to prevent her from filming the protest, a typical Antifa deterrence-and-evasion tactic to avoid potential incrimination of the agitators.
Expletives were exchanged. Then one of the instigators assaulted Daviscourt with eggs before fleeing the scene. "Get a job, Katie!" another yelled at her.
A group of 30 protesters mobbed Daviscourt as she tried to leave, even following her to her car.
