President Joe Biden and President-elect Donald Trump met in the White House's Oval Office on Wednesday, with Trump and Biden saying that the transition process between the two leaders will be "smooth."
Biden shook Trump's hand, telling him "congratulations" on his Election Day victory over Vice President Kamala Harris. "I'm looking forward to having, as we said, a smooth transition," he added, saying his administration would "do everything we can to make sure you're accommodated, what you need, and we're going to get the chance to talk about some of that today. Welcome."
