BREAKING: ‘We need our independence back!’ Trump celebrates US in epic speech

“Let me begin by wishing each and every one of you a very happy Independence Day,” Trump declared to the crowd, before adding, “It's a day we need our independence back, to be honest with you."

The former president accused his political opponents of wanting to erase American history, stating, “They want to delete our legends. We're not letting them delete our legends.” Names Trump acknowledged included local South Carolina legend General Pickens, in addition to American icons George Washington Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin and Patrick Henry.

He declared he will stop World War III from coming, as Biden continues to escalate the war in Ukraine.

He touted his Supreme Court picks, which delivered record conservative wins on abortion, affirmative action, and freedom of religion.

Trump put the Biden administration on blast, saying the regime is charging him, a former President of the United States, under the Espionage Act of 1917.

“The Espionage Act of 1917, an act for a crime so heinous that only the death penalty would do is one of the most outrageous and vicious legal theories ever put in an American court of law,” Trump said to the crowd.

They arrested him, he said, in the middle of a presidential election. That the current president is prosecuted the previous president on multiple charges is unprecedented.

He noted the hypocrisy of the process, saying, “There's never been anything like this and by the way, almost all other presidents took the documents with them. You look at Barack Hussein Obama did anyone ever hear of Barack Hussein Obama?”

Trump added, “the Bushes took documents, Jimmy Carter took documents,” before putting George W. Bush on blast for taking the US into war with the Middle East.

“$10 trillion, that’s right.” Trump began no new foreign wars during his time in office.

The conversation then pivoted to the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, which Trump noted cost the US “13 great soldiers” as Americans were left behind.

He brought up the Presidential Records Act, which he noted “which is not even mentioned in this horrible and vicious and stupid, according to … very talented lawyers, 44-page indictment." He said outright that he has every right to have the documents he did, adding that “Joe Biden didn't, and Mike Pence didn't” when they absconded with boxes of documents, as they were not covered by the 1978 law when they took the documents, both being vice presidents, respectively, at the time.

The former president then argued that this legal prosecution he is facing was only invoked to come after him, as his poll numbers are far “higher now than they were three months ago.”

"We are one nation, under God, and together we will make America great again!" He concluded.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
