Charles Barkley drops truth bombs about crime and homelessness in San Francisco during NBA All-Star Game broadcast

While the Indiana capital was called out for its less-than-desirable weather, Barkley pointed to the rampant crime and degeneracy currently infesting the City by the Bay.

"Hey Reggie, if you had a chance to be in cold, or be around a bunch of homeless crooks in San Francisco, wouldn't you–," Barkley said as his co-anchors cried out, "Ohhh!"

"We love San Francisco!" one said, to which Barkley replied, "No we don't. You can't even walk around down there."

"You can walk around!" another added.

"Yeah with a bullet-proof vest," Barkley shot back.

While Barkley's comments drew the ire of those commentating on the game with him, social media users corroborated his claims about San Francisco.

"He's not wrong," Elon Musk posted on X in response to the clip.

"Truth hurts," another user added. "SF is a sh*thole."

Over the past few years, San Francisco has struggled with rising homelessness, drug addiction, and theft, with the chaos causing residents and businesses alike to flee the city.

One shop owner who immigrated to the United States from Afghanistan recently even went so far as to suggest that crime in the city is worse than in his home country after violent thugs stole over $100,000 in merchandise.

"The politicians need to get a grip on this because It's worse than Afghanistan or Iraq," he said. "At least in Afghanistan the Taliban will cut your hand off and people are afraid to commit such a crime."

"They know the police won't do anything," Zaid said of thieves in America, adding, "We have drugs issue, we have homeless issue, and on top of this these idiots come in here and take whatever they want."
