Dem Senate nominee campaign tells people to ‘delete’ shares of article revealing Hitler yearbook photos
Yearbook photos released Friday appear to show Arizona Democratic Senate candidate Mark Kelly dressed up as Hitler for a Halloween party during his time at the Merchant Marine Academy.
Yearbook photos released Friday appear to show Arizona Democratic Senate candidate Mark Kelly dressed up as Hitler for a Halloween party during his time at the Merchant Marine Academy.
Kelly and his campaign are denying that the photos are of him, with Kelly’s campaign manager Jen Cox saying the National File story is “false,” and telling everyone who shared the article on social media to “delete it.”
“These aren’t pictures of Mark, and he never dressed up in such a costume,” said Cox. “The story is false and should be retracted immediately, and those who have spread this misinformation online should delete it. Anyone using it to try to smear a combat veteran should be ashamed of themselves.”
Three classmates have come out to insist that the man dressed as hitler in the photos is not Mark, but none have given a name for who it might be, per a report from The Arizona Republic.
The photos were published in National File by journalist Patrick Howley, the same journalist who broke the Ralph Northam KKK blackface story in 2019. Howley said he was “shocked” that Kelly would attempt to deny his reporting.
“As the reporter who broke the Ralph Northam blackface yearbook photo, Justin Fairfax’s multiple credible rape allegations, and two of Cal Cunningham’s extramarital affairs, I am frankly shocked that Mark Kelly would dare to deny this and at the mainstream media’s inability or unwillingness to do their job and report the truth about the candidates seeking high office in the United States," Howley said.
