View on RumbleThe bill, introduced by Reps. Gerry Connolly (D-VA), Jared Moskowitz (D-FL), and John Garamendi (D-CA), is a move to retaliate against the GOP for proposing the airport name change.
Connolly wrote in a statement, "When our Republican colleagues introduced their bill to rename Dulles after Donald Trump, I said the more fitting option would be to rename a federal prison."
The representative said it was the "only honor he truly deserves."
Previously, HR 7845 was introduced by Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) to "designate the Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia as the 'Donald J. Trump International Airport."
Biden's DOJ and other liberal legal entities have gone after the former president in various cases around the country. This has led to calls by various Democratic politicians, media figures, and others for Trump to be thrown in jail.
According to a recent McLaughlin poll, 56 percent of voters believe that Biden is trying to jail Trump to stop him from winning the election in 2024. Additionally, the real estate case, brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James as well as the Georgia election case brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis have both come under heavy scrutiny.
The Associated Press published an analysis of 70 years in case law regarding the real estate case from James and concluded that it is an anomaly and is "without a showing of obvious victims and major losses."
DA Willis herself has come under fire for allegations of financial self-interest in the case against Trump for hiring her "lover" Nathan Wade as a special prosecutor. Wade was paid more than other prosecutors in Georgia and he ended up having to recuse himself from his position.
