View on XOn Monday, Project Veritas published their undercover video scoop that showed Twitter senior engineer Siru Murugesan admitting on camera that the company culture is "commie as f***" and that the platform’s moderation policies are ideologically biased against right-wing accounts.
Murugesan also brought up that there were inflammatory reactions from far-left Twitter staffers who tried to protest Elon Musk’s involvement. The reaction on Twitter has been the trending hashtag "#TwitterExposed" since the news first broke. As for the senior engineer at the center of Monday’s story, he has since deleted his Twitter account.
Project Veritas also revealed on Tuesday afternoon response emails from Twitter’s corporate security department, and warned their employees, "Groups like Project Veritas are active right now. These groups use social engineering tactics to get close to employees and obtain videos and recordings of employees discussing internal company matters and often selectively edit those recordings to misrepresent conversations to further their own political ideological agendas."
Project Veritas also promised a follow up to their expose was coming.
Earlier Tuesday morning, Musk tweeted that the Twitter buyout deal can’t move forward until CEO Parag Agrawal backs up the company’s claims the platform’s spam bot population was less than five percent.
The day before that, Musk was on the All-In podcast. The topic of Twitter and Elon’s concerns with inauthentic accounts was brought up.
