Facebook incorrectly censors Post Millennial report on Antifa ‘whorehouse’ as ‘sexual solicitation’
“Your walls don’t extend all the way to the ceiling so you will hear a lot of stuff,” the post read. “[You must be] okay with SWers, we have three in our house and frequently have loud sex noises.”
Facebook incorrectly censored The Post Millennial’s reporting on an Antifa "whorehouse" and unregulated prostitution facility in Portland, Ore. as "sexual solicitation." The "whorehouse" was featured in a viral advertisement on Facebook earlier this month.
According to Facebook, the article which by The Post Millennial's editor-at-large Andy Ngo and American news editor Mia Cathell went "against our Community Standards on adult sexual solicitation."
The Big Tech giant added that "we have these standards because sexual solicitation can make some people feel unsafe on Facebook."
Creature's Co-Op posted an advertisement on Facebook seeking a "secret roommate" to reside in an eight by eight foot corner of a living room built out of recycled doors and a shower curtain for $302 a month, including other charges.
"You: ACAB [All cops are bastards], don't be ableist, racist homophobic, transphobic, a misogynist, etc," the first rule in the advertisement said.
"Your walls don't extend all the way to the ceiling so you will hear a lot of stuff," the post read. "[You must be] okay with SWers [sex workers], we have three in our house and frequently have loud sex noises," the advertisement continued.
Ngo and Cathell exposed the fact that Creature's Co-Op is run by 27-year-old Brandy "Jo" Taylor Fish. According to the report, Fish was a large donor to Defense Fund PDX. This Antifa bail group raises cash for criminal suspects, including Malik Muhammed, of Indiana, who was charged with the attempted murder of law enforcement officers using firebombs at Portland riots.
Other rules in the listing explained that the tenant must "be okay with being a 'secret roommate,'" possibly in violation of Oregon state law. "The landlord doesn't know but also seems to not care," Fish wrote.
It's unclear why Facebook flagged the report for sexual solicitation, since it was instead a report on that, but the article was removed from Ngo's Facebook page on Sunday.
