A family was rescued by police after they floated out into the waters of Lake Ontario, according to CTV News.
On Tuesday, three adults went into the lake on a flamingo pool float at about 10 p.m., say police.
The family was out on the water for around four hours and called the police after large boats began passing them and the temperature started getting colder.
They were equipped with air horns and oars but could not paddle back towards shore and did not bring life jackets.
Officers managed to rescue the family at about 2 a.m. on Wednesday.
No medical treatment was required for the family members aboard the float.
Police have asked the public to make sure pool floats are tied off when in large bodies of water.
