Hillary Clinton cites 2003 example of ‘Freedom Fries’ as example of conservative ‘cancel culture’

In her tweet, she invoked the example of "freedom fries," referencing a Republican-led effort in 2003 to rename French fries to "freedom fries," because of Frances' outspokenness against the U.S. invasion of Iraq, according to Snopes.

"The party of "Freedom Fries" would like you to know that "cancel culture" is a very serious problem," Clinton tweeted.

Clinton's off-beat commentary was met by considerable Twitter mocking from conservatives.

"Never tweet," Rand Paul Chief Strategist Doug Stafford responded.

"You know this is a serious example of cancel culture because it involved check notes two Republicans who attempted to implement their agenda in an entire three cafeterias who later called it a lighthearted gesture," Bongino Report Content Manager Matt Palumbo commented.

"Another swing and miss from Team 'Obama's Biggest Scandal Was Wearing a Tan Suit,'" he continued.

"This would have been close to being funny if you picked one of the thousands of options that were more relevant than something from 2003," another account tweeted.

"How's your boy Jeff?" OAN's Jack Posobiec tweeted, referring to the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
