According to the Tallahassee Democrat, Baker has been involved in various protests and actions around the country in the recent past. He has been to Seattle and Nashville, among other places.
Baker served in the US Army, but it appears he was discharged dishonorably for going AWOL before his unit was deployed overseas. He apparently also has ties to the Kurdistan's Working Party, which has been designated as a terrorist organization.
Baker is currently being held in Tallahassee in a federal facility, and has a hearing scheduled for Jan. 12. Prosecutors are asking for him to be held until trail, since they consider him to be a potential flight risk.
A TPM investigation into Baker's YouTube page reveals sentiments similar to other expressions of violence he posted on social media.
