An investigation is underway by Atlanta police following the shooting of a man in Atlanta on Saturday, according to Fox News. This shooting occurred near the Wendy's where Rayshard Brooks was killed on June 12.
Officers arrived at Piedmont Road NW at about 6:34 pm, investigators say. After arriving at the scene they located a man who had been shot in the leg. Witnesses told police that the shooter was driving a gray Dodge Challenger.
Police say the man was “combative and uncooperative” to officers and EMS workers. He left the area after refusing medical help and was found roughly 15 minutes later close to Juniper Street and Peachtree Street. He was found lying unconscious but was still breathing and was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.
Protests in Atlanta that were initially over the death of George Floyd have now taken the name of Rayshard Brooks as well. The gathering site for much of this activity has been the burned down Wendy's in which parking lot Brooks was shot.
Brooks was killed during an arrest on June 12, 2020, when police were called to the scene of a Wendy's, where Brooks was found asleep in his car in the drive-through.

After this incident, which was captured on surveillance video and body cam, officer Rolfe was brought up on murder charges. The Wendy's which has since allegedly been burned down by suspect Natalie White, has become a focal point of protests.
