The meeting took a strange turn when a man named Ronald was invited to address the council.

View on RumbleRonald's request to "address council regarding intersectionality and equity issues" was granted, but that was before they saw who he was.
Upon turning his camera on, council realized that they had just agreed to hear from a clown, adorned in full makeup and dress.
"As a clown," Ronald began, "I certainly don't feel underrepresented in local government and law enforcement. It's just that the measures taken to benefit me and people of my motley profession and identity feel unsatisfactory and inconsequential."
At this point council members, and Mayor Wheeler, become visibly unimpressed. Nonetheless, Ronald continues.
"Since I already know that Mr. Wheeler will take great actions after having listened to my statements, I, as a member of the Clowning Society of America, would like to nominate Mr. Edward Tevis Wheeler for clown of the year, and immediately instate him as an honorary clown commissioner. The Clowning Society of America stands with you Mr. Wheeler. Thank you. I yield the rest of my time."
As OregonLive reports, Ronald the Clown was not the only unorthodox participant in the city council meeting on Wednesday. Another man, comedian Alex Stein, donned hospital garb and performed a pro-vaccine rap routine. The Texas native had previously delivered the same performance to Dallas City Council.
