View on XAdams addressed the immigration crisis in NYC on Monday at a town hall and said he needed more resources to give jobs to illegal immigrants in New York but also took issue with those illegal immigrants committing crimes.
"Those small numbers that are committing crimes," he stated, "we need to modify the sanctuary city law that if you commit a felony, a violent act, we should be able to turn you over to [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] and have you deported. It is a right to live in this city, and you should be not committing crimes in our city."
When Adams' office was asked about the investigation into Greco, a spokesperson said, “We always expect all our employees to adhere to the strictest ethical guidelines. As we have repeatedly said, we don’t comment on matters that are under review, but will fully cooperate with any review underway."
“The mayor has not been accused of any wrongdoing," the office added.
