'No Kings' organizers' goal is 'transformation of American democracy'

Indivisible co-founders Ezra Levin and Leah Greenberg declared on their podcast of the same name that the goal of the leftist progressive movement “is the transformation of American democracy.” For them and their movement, pursuing impeachment in the event that Democrats take power in Congress is just “a tactic within a strategy to get a broader goal.”
In an episode of their show, Greenberg said, “there’s, you know, there’s a lot of discourse around ‘is impeachment the goal,’ and our take on this is that impeachment is a tactic within a strategy to get to a broader goal. Like our goal is bigger than Donald Trump or this current administration. Our goal is the transformation of American democracy so that it is inclusive and representative and resilient to future authoritarians and authoritarian attacks.”
“That sounds like a good goal,” Levin said. This is the same group that organized 1,000 protests for what they called “Hands Off” day. Their complaint was that "Donald Trump and Elon Musk think this country belongs to them" and that "they're taking everything they can get their hands on, and daring the world to stop them."
Natalie Winters shared the clip on X. Indivisible is funded by some of the same groups that funded the anti-semitic campus crusades across the US following the Palestinian terrorist massacre of 1,200 in Israel in October 2023. The group is aligned with the Democratic Socialists of America and are backed by George Soros’ Open Society Foundation.

You build a mass political coalition that is capable of making inroads that we have not made up until now. That is so powerful that you actually fracture Republicans and MAGA, and you pull some of those folks into our side. We build our coalition.”
Indivisible has been building a coalition. The group began in 2016 with the election of President Trump and has been actively fighting against him and the agenda the American people voted for. Their mission is “organizing against this fascistic clown show of a regime the only way that actually works: with on-the-ground, volunteer-led, communities of people power.” They hold rallies, phone banking events, meetings, trainings, and community events.
These include protests outside Tesla dealerships, weekly protests, taco nights, feminist group protests, tabling events at farmers markets, and other social events across the country where like-minded people can advocate for the end of American democracy. Indivisible encourages others to create groups along the Indivisible model, as well.
The No Kings project is a mobilization effort under the propagandist notion that there will be Republican “attacks on our elections.” They state, “We must ensure that every valid vote is counted, certified, and protected.” It is notable, however, that when former LA mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt called for a recount of ballots in the recent election that saw incumbent Mayor Karen Bass take the lead and City Councilwoman Nithya Raman come in second, both ahead of him, No Kings was silent.
”We collectively are capable of delivering on a transformative agenda that people believe in and feel in their lives,” Greenberg went on, “which helps to reaffirm their faith in democracy and in civic engagement. And you hold everybody who was involved in this rampant period of lawbreaking and corruption accountable, because again, this is about the incentives that you create for the next would-be authoritarian.
“We need every mid-level staffer who worked in this administration to walk away being like, ‘Oh boy, I should not have done that,’” she said. “We need every corporation to be like, ‘I am never ever doing again what I did in 2025 and 2026, because I do not want the heat that came at me in 2027.’"
“We actually have to create the conditions in which the entire set of enablers and billionaires and you know lackeys are all like, ‘oh, I can't go along with something as horrifying as what happened in 2025 and 2026 because my personal interests say that I need to stay far, far away from that,’ and that is how you prevent the rise of the next authoritarian.”
In 2025, Indivisible pledged to only back Democrat candidates that oppose Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer.
