A public library in the Portland, Oregon suburb of Tigard has cancelled a Drag Queen Story Hour event planned for this upcoming Sunday after it was revealed that Antifa was going to to stage a counter-protest against concerned parents.
Officials even went so far as to announce that the Tigard Public Library would be closed for the day "out of an abundance of caution."

View on XAccording to The Post Millennial's Andy Ngo, local Antifa members, led by Dajah Renee Beck, had planned on disrupting a group of parents as they protested the event. The parents' plan was to show up early and "occupy all available seats, leaving none for children," while also staging a protest outside the library.
"We can handle this easily," Beck tweeted. "Grab some friends and get there first. No more of this sh*t."
"I'll be there," another Antifa member replied. "It won't be the first time we've chased the fash out of town."

View on XAs Ngo reports, Beck pleaded guilty to rioting and first-degree criminal mischief in connection with a violent riot in Tigard in 2021. During the incident, Antifa members attacked police and businesses across the town. She received no prison time after cutting a sweetheart deal, and was only sentenced to two years probation.
On Twitter, Beck describes herself as "leftist, antifascist, antiracist" and "Map lady."
