Osama bin Laden’s bodyguard returns to hero’s welcome on same day as Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal

As reported by Daily Mail, Osama bin Laden's former bodyguard Haq is back in Afghanistan. His full name is Amin Muhammad Ul Haq Saam Khan, according to the United Nations Security Council, who officially list him as an al Qaeda affiliate.

If there were any doubts about the Taliban being welcoming to al Qaeda leadership, Haq was welcomed back with open arms as fawning onlookers took pictures or kissed the man's hand in awe.

According to Bill Roggio of Long War Journal, Osama Bin Laden’s "Black Guard" security detail were the "the most loyal and fervent supporters of bin Laden."

Roggio says the noteworthy bit is how Haq is comfortable walking around out in the open, clarifying it's unknown if the al Qaeda higher-up has been hanging out in Afghanistan or Pakistan on the down-low for the past decade. The concern for America is that if the Taliban is openly associating with al Qaeda, the Biden administration's open cooperation with the Taliban takes a different tone.

One of former President Barack Obama's accomplishments was taking out Osama bin Laden—being the leader of al Qaeda as well as the individual responsible for the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, on American soil.

As discussed by The Daily Wire, within the past year, the Biden administration has made several statements about al Qaeda with regards to Afghanistan.

Biden told a joint session of Congress on April 28: "We went to Afghanistan to get terrorists — the terrorists who attacked us on 9/11 — and we said we would follow Osama bin Laden to the gates of hell to do it. If you’ve been to the upper Kunar Valley, you've kind of seen the gates of hell. And we delivered justice to bin Laden. We degraded the terrorist threat of al Qaeda in Afghanistan. And after 20 years of value — valor and sacrifice, it’s time to bring those troops home."

CNN fact checked Biden for telling the general public on Aug. 20 that al Qaeda was gone from Afghanistan. The reality is the forces aren’t as Pentagon press secretary John Kirby later says: "We know that al Qaeda is a presence, as well as ISIS, in Afghanistan, and we've talked about that for quite some time."

As reported earlier today, the Biden administration is relying on the Taliban to get any stranded Americans out of Afghanistan, since the White House decided to formally withdraw US occupation of Kabul airport today.
