On Monday, a Pennsylvania police department was called to a local Home Depot location to break up people performing an "exorcism" in the lumber aisle.
On a list of calls the police responded to Monday, wedged between traffic stops and welfare checks, was the odd line stating that Dickson City police responded to "Home Depot for disorderly people having an exorcism in the lumber isle for the dead trees. They were escorted out of the building," the police report stated.
The call at the Lackawanna County Home Depot occurred at around 3:30 p.m.
One officer told the Philly Voice: "There were two people hanging out in the lumber department doing their little exorcism thing. Some people at the store started picking up that something was happening that was not necessarily normal. Police were called to the store and they were escorted out of the building."
The duo involved in the incident will not be charged, the officer stated. "It was a séance type of thing for the dead," he added.
The two men, dressed all in black, were "chanting and moaning" in the lumber aisle and "looked like they were trying to do an exorcism," Dickson City Police Chief William Bilinski told the Scranton Times-Tribune newspaper.
