View on YouTubePolice responded to a call about a suspicious package at the Taunton Convenience store in Oshawa around 8:20 am on October 1. The package burst into flames when a female employee tried to move it. She suffered no injuries.
Police seized the package and say that there had been three prior unreported incidents at this store. The suspect was wearing a mask in the video.
Twenty-four days later, police responded to another suspicious package call, this time from Pantry Confidence. An incendiary device was found in the package, and it was detonated by the explosives disposal unit.
The suspect left the scene by foot but footage was captured by a security camera. The image of the suspect has now been released from police, along with surveillance video from the October 1 incident, which shows the package catching fire.
