The body of acclaimed Irish singer Sinéad O'Connor's 17-year-old son was recovered after he went missing from an Irish hospital while on suicide watch.
On Thursday, the pop star took to Twitter with a desperate plea after her young son Shane was reported missing. The boy's body was later found Friday by police outside Dublin. The cause of death has not yet been released.
According to his mother, Shane O'Connor was suicidal, and had been checked in to Tallaght Hosptial's Lynn Ward as a precaution. Somehow, the troubled teen escaped the hospital and took his own life, according to O'Connor.

View on XOn Saturday, O'Connor continued her social media tirade against Tusla, accusing officials of refusing to take responsibility, calling their imminent press release "a load of lies," that are "couched as always in the omnipotent and false concern they claim to have for the privacy of the children who die on their watch."
As The Guardian reports, the teen was last seen on Friday morning in the Tallaght, Dublin area. His body was recovered later in the day and identified by his mother on Saturday afternoon. Condolences to Sinéad, who has three other children, and Shane's father Dónal Lunny have been pouring in across social media.
