Former President Donald Trump and Fox News have set up an Iowa town hall event to take place on the same day and time as CNN’s planned GOP primary presidential debate. The events are set for Jan. 10, at 9:00 p.m. ET.
“Fox News Channel will present a live town hall with former President Donald Trump in Des Moines, Iowa on January 10 from 9-10 PM/ET,” reads a press release on the event, which will be co-moderated by anchors Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum.

GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy is also doing his own thing during CNN's debate; the longtime businessman said the event "will be the most boring in history" and that he instead will take part in "a live-audience show that night in Des Moines with [Tim Pool] instead."
Ramaswamy additionally laid out numerous examples of CNN's reporting in order to justify why he does not want to work with the outlet. Examples included: "On Dec 13, CNN disgracefully cut short its own Iowa town hall with me after I correctly pointed out uncomfortable truths about Jan 6, which CNN instantly dismissed as 'conspiracy theories,'" CNN commentator Van Jones saying he was "literally shaking" at Ramaswamy's rhetoric, which he described as "one step away from Nazi propaganda," and CNN anchor Anderson Cooper accusing Ramaswamy of delivering a "soliloquy of conspiracy theories."
