Trump tweets that 75-year-old Buffalo man pushed by police officers may be Antifa agitator

Trump tweeted out: "Buffalo protester shoved by Police could be an ANTIFA provocateur. 75 year old Martin Gugino was pushed away after appearing to scan police communications in order to black out the equipment. @OANN I watched, he fell harder than was pushed. Was aiming scanner. Could be a set up?"

Trump's tweet comes after the two officers who shoved Martin Gugino were relieved of their duties and charged with second-degree assault, which is a class D felony.

As a response, all 57 of the Buffalo Emergency Response team resigned when they learned that the two officers who shoved Gugino had been charged. These officers stood firm in their belief that their colleagues had done nothing wrong.

The idea that Gugino was an agitator is not unfounded, as Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown also voiced the same opinion, in saying: "What we were informed of is that that individual was an agitator. He was trying to spark up the crowd of people. Those people were there into the darkness. Our concern is when it gets dark, there is a potential for violence."

"There has been vandalism, there have been fires set, there have been stores broken into and looted. According to what was reported to me, that individual was a key major instigator of people engaging in those activities."

Though Gugino was asked several times to leave by law enforcement due to the curfew, he nevertheless approached the officers and was promptly shoved to the ground, where he fell backwards and hit his head. Blood can be seen pooling under his head as the officers march forward.

The incident has resulted in many demanding that the two officers be fired, but Brown has insisted that he is not willing to fire the two officers without "due process."
