The National Security Agency's internal watchdog is investigating the recent allegations made by Fox News Host Tucker Carlson. Weeks ago, Carlson alleged the spy agency targeted his communications for nefarious reasons.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the NSA inspector general did not mention Carlson by name but did mention the investigation is related to a member of the U.S. media. A person close to this story has confirmed this investigation is associated with Tucker Carlson's allegations.
Last month, Tucker Carlson openly called out the NSA on a segment of his show. He alleged a whistleblower from the agency informed him and his producers that the NSA is spying on them. This was informally confirmed to Tucker by the whistleblower, who recited confidential emails from his show.

A statement from a Fox News spokesperson to The Post Millennial said: "We are gratified to learn the NSA’s egregious surveillance of Tucker Carlson will now be independently investigated. As we have said, for the NSA to unmask Tucker Carlson or any journalist attempting to secure a newsworthy interview is entirely unacceptable and raises serious questions about their activities as well as their original denial, which was wildly misleading."
