Vivek Ramaswamy SLAMS Biden’s DOJ over Trump indictment, says America has ‘two tiers of justice’

Among those who voiced their displeasure was fellow Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who slammed the Department of Justice for going after Trump and suggested it was evidence that the United States had "two tiers of justice."

"I never thought we'd see the day when a party in power, a US president, has a Department of Justice under him that arrests his lead rival during an election," Ramaswamy said, "yet here we are."

He went on to point out the different standards applied to people seemingly based on their political leanings, noting that those who participated in the Black Lives Matter riots were largely allowed to walk free while those who stormed the Capitol on January 6 continue to be hunted down and prosecuted.

"Now you have one [set of standards] for Joe Biden, who violates the same laws about document retention ... and one for President Trump," he lamented.

"We do not live in some banana republic where the party in power gets to use its power to arrest political opponents," Ramaswamy continued, noting that while it would be beneficial to him as a fellow candidate to see Trump out of the race, for him it was "not about politics," but, "about principle."

He stated in no uncertain terms that if he was elected, he would pardon not only Trump, but "every victim of a politically-motivated persecution."

Upon learning of his indictment, Trump referred to the actions of the Biden administration as "election interference at the highest level," calling the 46th president "the most corrupt" in history.

"They’re not going to get away with it," he added, citing the Presidential Records Act. "I did absolutely nothing wrong."
