The national press secretary for the Joe Biden presidential campaign, TJ Ducklo, appeared on Fox News with Bret Baier on Thursday to discuss what Biden would have done differently had he been president amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The national press secretary managed to dodge every question Baier asked in the seven-minute interview.
Baier began by asking National Press Secretary TJ Ducklo what Biden would have done as president if he would have received the briefing about the coronavirus on January 28.

View on XDucklo immediately went on the offensive instead of directly answering the question, saying that though the US makes up just four percent of the global population, the country has 20 percent of all coronavirus cases and 25 percent of all COVID-19-related deaths. Ducklo added that President Donald Trump could have saved "tens of thousands" of lives had he acted weeks earlier.
Baier addressed the fact that Ron Klain, former Chief of Staff for Vice President Joe Biden, and Ezekiel Emanuel—both of whom provide Biden with counsel—said at the beginning of the pandemic that to close down travel from China was "premature," with Emanuel suggesting that everyone calm down and not go into a panic.
Ducklo continued by saying that Biden was "clear" that he was not opposed to the travel ban Trump installed in January. Baier stopped him and asked for clarification, asking "So you're saying Joe Biden was for closing down travel from China...?" Ducklo doubled down, saying Biden had been clear that he was not opposed to the travel ban, unwilling to affirm that Biden was actively in support of the ban.

View on XDucklo went on the offensive once more, saying that though Trump had said he implemented the travel ban, "tens of thousands" of people were still coming into the country afterward.
To dispute this, Baier provided a short clip of Dr. Anthony Fauci confirming that what he and Trump had discussed in private did not run counter to what the president told the American people.
Seeing that Ducklo was not going to engage with his questions on the coronavirus, Baier switched gears and asked Ducklo if Biden had ever used tele-prompters during local interviews and Q&A sessions with his supporters.
Ducklo, once again, refused to engage with the question, attacking the Trump campaign, charging Baier with funneling Trump's talking points through the network.
