Today, Yaniv tweeted out a photo of a cheque for salon workers harmed by her “wax my balls” case. Shortly after posting the photo of the $6,000 cheque, she was suspended from Twitter.
In 2019, the world was horrified when a trans activist from Langley, British Columbia took 16 mostly-immigrant estheticians to British Columbia’s Human Rights Tribunal for refusing to wax her male scrotum. Today, a large part of this sordid saga came to an end.
As the cases progressed through the BCHRT and details about Jessica Yaniv began to emerge, Yaniv gained substantial—mostly negative—notoriety for her virulent racism and alleged history of sexual predation towards minors.
In November of 2019, Yaniv was struck down by the BCHRT, with the tribunal finding the suits Yaniv had launched against the salon workers had been based in racial animus and a calculating, extortionary self-interest to monetarily benefit. Yaniv was ordered to pay $2,000 to each of three salon workers who Yaniv’s conduct had been considered inappropriate. Yaniv was also prevented from filing any additional suits through the BCHRT until which time the money had been paid.
Today, Jessica Yaniv tweeted out a photo of a cheque made out to the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms in the amount of $6,000. The JCCF is a collective of pro-bono lawyers who had been representing some of the salon workers at the BCHRT.
Yaniv wrote “So now everyone can leave me alone. Salon workers have been paid. Let me live my life please.”
Yaniv’s post attracted some attention from Twitter users who immediately regarded the gesture with suspicion. Some criticized Yaniv for the lengthy amount of time it took for the salon workers to be compensated:
Yeah it only took you 6 months what do you want a medal ? why did you lock your account you stupid troon ?
— Felonious Fox ??????? (@FoxFelonious)
While others took aim at the motivation behind the payment itself:
If course that's the plan. "See I paid it leave me alone" means "I've paid it so I can continue my HRT claims for other stupid things I've made up and since you stopped paying attention to me you won't see them anymore."

In 2019, Jessica Yaniv had attempted to file more BCHRT suits prior to being struck down by Tribunal Member Paul Singh. Singh ordered Yaniv to first pay the outstanding balance before any additional suits would be allowed to proceed. At the time, Yaniv had attempted to file a complaint against right-wing preacher Bill Whatcott, had attempted to file suits against two more salons for refusing to wax her male scrotum, and some had speculated that Yaniv may also be bringing a suit against a gynecologist’s office for declining to give female-genital specific medical services to Yaniv’s male genitalia.
You don't go to a gynaecologist if you don't have a vagina. You don't go to a repair shop if you don't have a car.
Stop trying to fucking bully people into touching your privates.

In a strange turn of events, shortly after posting the photo of the $6,000 cheque, Jessica Yaniv was suspended from Twitter.
While it is unknown what led to Yaniv’s suspension and whether Yaniv will be returning to the platform, many questions about the future of Yaniv’s vexatious litigation still remain.
Jessica Yaniv is currently engaged in five lawsuits—one of which against a female Post Millennial freelance reporter who Yaniv claimed sexually assaulted her in a courthouse bathroom. Amy Eileen Hamm is suing Jessica Yaniv for defamation of character.
Other suits Yaniv is currently party to include a civil assault suit against two Rebel Media journalists, a personal injury claim against a Vancouver physiotherapist, a private prosecution against disabled citizen journalist Donald Smith, and a harassment suit against Culture Guard’s Kari Simpson.
