Britain's National Health Service (NHS) is forcing interview panels to justify their reasoning behind hiring white applicants over applicants who are ethnic minorities.

The Daily Mail reports that the Royal Free in north London is asking staff to compile reports justifying why the successful candidate was "more suitable for the position" if the candidate is white.  If the candidate is an ethnic minority this justification is not required.

This involves writing to the trust's chief executive with proof on how the non-white applicant scored and coming up with suggestions on how the candidate can improve.

Critics on staff say that the system is a "tick-box exercise" that adds more bureaucracy to the service.

Staff at NHS trusts were recently told to cut "diversity and inclusion" jobs after a report by the Health Secretary.

Minister Sajid Javid demanded that "urgent" action be taken to improve the health service as it fights off "waste and wokery."

The Daily Mail recently revealed how the NHS was dishing out over £1million of “woke non-jobs” in its hospitals, as the service struggles to stay above water.

A senior source at the hospital said: "It feels like a tick-box exercise. When we discuss who the best applicant was after the interview, it’s not about their ethnicity.

"So justifying your decision based on where they might be from does take a lot of time because you have to reevaluate your decision from a completely different perspective, based on race rather than ability."
