Ontario teacher claims parents who oppose teaching of Marxism, 'trans rights' are 'triggered snowflakes'

Ontario teacher and TikTok regular Frank Domenic Cirinna says in a now-deleted video on X that in the province, “under the Education Act, teachers essentially have the right to teach whatever they think is beneficial to their students.”

That includes Marxism, gender ideology, and imagined genocides in Canadian history.

In the video, discovered and reposted by former teacher and social media journalist Chanel Pfahl, Cirinna lists all of the subject matter he teaches to his students and insists it does not “break any rules.”

He says that anyone objecting – especially parents – to this teaching is “a triggered snowflake who can't handle gay people existing. It does not mean that what I am doing is by any means wrong. It just means that you're an antiquated dinosaur and sooner or later your children will think to themselves, why does my parent think that way? Why does my parent act that way? Why does my parent talk that way?”

Cirinna, who teaches at Craig Kielburger Secondary School in Milton, Ont., opens his video by pointing to a “Pride” banner in his classroom and calling himself “your worst nightmare” to anyone who objects to being there.

He then lists the subject matter that he teaches to his students, which does not include English, French, physics, biology or math. 

“And yes, I do teach about stuff like this in my classroom. Thank you for asking. I teach about Marxism. I teach about socialism. I teach about trans rights. I teach about LGBTQ history. I teach about black history. I teach them the racial history of our country and the genocide that we've inflicted upon indigenous people,” he says.

“I teach about wealth inequality in Canada and the concentration of wealth in the one percent. I talked about the prevalence of LGBTQ and trans people in Millennial and Gen Z generations and compare it to left-handedness,” Cirinna continues, insisting that these subjects “are important and because they are related to the curriculum.”

Although he acknowledges that there must be “boundaries,” the teacher doesn’t say what they are. 

Cirinna says he does not “push anything on my students. All I do is show them the world that we live in” and that somehow this vast expanse of woke material “can be connected to the curriculum.

The teacher received some pushback, including this response: “I’m a gay dude, and if my own kids were in your classroom, I would pull them out of the school immediately. I can’t believe you are in position of power and one of my first impressions of you is that you hold censorship (blocking) as (what seems) a core value of yours.”

While Cirinna's X account has been deleted, his TikTok page remains live, with his account having over 92,000 followers. Videos posted to the page include Cirinna criticizing the removal of books with LGBTQ themes from schools, Ontario Premiere Doug Ford, and showcasing "systemic racism."
