Selfish Liberal and NDP politicians give themselves a summer vacation while the rest of us face ongoing crisis

That’s what we keep hearing from the politicians. It certainly sounds nice, and it’s a sentiment we can all share.

Unfortunately, some Liberal and NDP politicians have decided to exempt themselves from the “all” they keep talking about.

You see, Liberal and NDP MPs voted to shut down Parliament, and hold a mere four sessions between now and September.

Amid this unprecedented health and economic crisis, the Liberal and NDP politicians have in effect given themselves a nice long summer vacation, while leaving the rest of us to face the CCP Virus and the economic fallout.

Pathetically, the NDP was bought off by the Liberals on a mere promise from Trudeau (which is worth nothing), to ‘talk’ to the premiers about expanding paid sick leave.

The NDP thus enabled the shuttering of Canada’s Parliament and the destruction of Parliamentary oversight, and all they got in return was a mere claim by a politician that they would talk about something with some other politicians.

It’s the latest example of Jagmeet Singh’s lack of anything approaching strategic wisdom, as his party has plummeted in the polls.

Even worse, Singh showed a new level of cluelessness when he complained about the government not taking action on certain files, apparently unaware that he just voted to allow the Liberals to basically govern by decree, rendering the opposition powerless.

But that’s not the worst of this. The worst thing is the message this sends to Canadians.

Massive government intervention, horrific stories of care home abuse, the ongoing fight with the brutal Chinese Communist Party, and more are all huge issues that demand strong oversight, especially given how the Liberals have shown they can’t be trusted.

And as our economy starts to open up, and people face the serious consequences of this still spreading virus, people are being asked to make incredibly tough choices, taking on additional risk.

Yet, at this very moment, Liberal and NDP politicians have decided to go on vacation, stop doing their jobs, and break any solidarity that could have existed between our leaders and the Canadian people.

Instead of showing the spirit of public servants, the Liberal and NDP politicians are acting like a bunch of arrogant scumbags, as if they should be able to exempt themselves from the crisis the rest of us are expected to face.

They have disgraced themselves, and they are damaging our country at the worst possible time.
