Violent anti-Semitic antifa activist released, re-offends

According to the notice of violation, Jamal Oscar Williams, 44, “…failed to report, call or provide verification of his whereabouts to the Community Center for Alternative Programs (CCAP) on 3/10 and 3/11.” One of the conditions of Williams being released to treatment was that he “…shall attend all CCAP programs and all CCAP caseworker appointments.” The notice goes on to state that a bench warrant was issued for Williams on March 12 and that bail was denied on March 16 by the same King County Judge Karen Donohue that granted Williams his release. Requests for comments from Judge Donohue regarding Williams release to treatment have gone unanswered.

As originally reported by Andy Ngo, “Rabbi Shmuel Levitin and Ephraim Block were operating a permitted religious booth for the Sukkot Jewish holiday in downtown Seattle on October 11 when Williams allegedly approached them and shouted: ‘Jews, Jews, Jews … give me your money!’ He then said he had a gun and was going to kill them. Both Levitin and Block have beards and payots, or sideburns, and were wearing yarmulkes. Levitin is a rabbi at the Chabad of Downtown Seattle. Three days later, Williams returned and made similar threats and demands for money. On October 15, Williams followed the men into the lobby of their apartment building. After making more demands for money, he allegedly hurled candy from the concierge’s desk at the men. Police later found and arrested Williams in a nearby area.”

The Post Millennial was the first and only media outlet, with the exception of KTTH Radio host Jason Rantz, to cover William’s crimes and ongoing catch and release saga.

Williams has missed his court hearings in the past, as recently as August 2019 when he failed to appear, following an arrest by Portland Police for disorderly conduct, after threatening Washington Examiner reporter Julio Rosas. In addition to his radical and violent history with Antifa, Williams has a long felony history with multiple convictions for assault and domestic violence going back years throughout the Pacific Northwest including Seattle, Portland and Alaska.

The program that Williams was sentenced to by Judge Donohue for treatment, the “CCAP, formerly Day Reporting, holds offenders accountable to a weekly itinerary directed at involving the offender in a continuum of structured programs. The goal of CCAP is to assist offenders in changing those behaviors that have contributed to their being charged with a crime. CCAP provides on-site services as well as referrals to community-based services. Random drug tests are conducted to monitor for illegal drug use and consumption of alcohol. Offenders participating in CCAP receive an individual needs assessment and are scheduled for a variety of programs.”

As previously chronicled by this reporter, Williams is an example of the “revolving door” justice system that enables prolific offenders to continuously re-offend in Seattle and King County. Offenders are released to “treatment” rather than incarcerated despite long criminal records.

The day the court order was signed, Williams was spotted in the vicinity of his anti-Semitic assault, in the company of another known Seattle prolific offender, while wearing a keffiyeh. According to an article in The New York Times, this specific style of keffiyeh was “traditionally worn by Palestinian farmers. The black and white keffiyeh worn by Palestinian men of any rank, became a symbol of Palestinian nationalism during the Arab Revolt of the 1930s. Its prominence increased during the 1960s with the beginning of the Palestinian resistance movement and its adoption by Palestinian politician Yasser Arafat.” Arafat was known to shape his keffiyeh over his shoulder in the shape of the territories claimed by Palestine as a future Palestinian state with no land for Israel.

The notice of violation goes on to state that “…on 3/12 Williams reported to CCAP and was asked by staff where his verification was and Mr. Williams stated that he thought today was Tuesday and did not seem to comprehend that it was Thursday…Mr. Williams did not provide any verification of his absences.”

Williams had previously been enrolled in Sound Mental Health Services, which offers integrated substance abuse and dual diagnosis treatment, with clients receiving individualized recovery programs. He was un-enrolled from services previously because he was in custody for the assault.

This has not kept away local Democrat leaders like Chase Cross VP of the 37th District Democrats and King County Young Democrats, who has been spotted at Antifa rallies shouting that African America and immigrant Republicans should “…die in a fire” and embracing Williams.

Williams is a prime example of the failures of the Seattle and King County “catch and release” justice systems. “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.” After multiple felony convictions and releases, will Williams finally be incarcerated to protect his victims and the general public or be released to offend again?
