"If you look at the state of the country and what California did versus what Florida did, right now Florida has the lowest number of cases per day," Rogan noted.

The Sunshine State is reporting the lowest amount of coronavirus cases per capita in the nation after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis faced partisan criticism from the mainstream media and Democrat pundits for the state's handling of COVID-19.

"Florida's economy is booming; the real estate economy is booming because are escaping all these states where you can't do anything and they're going to Florida," he continued, adding that out-of-state residents are also fleeing to Texas.

Rogan touted the numerous liberties that Floridians have enjoyed in the state during the COVID-19 pandemic, underscoring that "Florida was the first" despite the repeated attacks launched on the DeSantis administration.

"But now if you look at it—except for times when there's these surges where people have to capitlize on those moments and say, 'Look, you're killing people. You're killing people.' If you adjust for age, Florida has done as well if not better than any state in the country when it comes to what happens with this virus," Rogan stated.

Rogan emphasized that Florida has shown over time that "if you look at how this virus works, and if you look at the response to it, lockdowns don't help."

"They just don't. And they definitely don't help these people's lives. And they definitely don't help these overdoses; they don't help depression; they don't help people losing businesses that they've worked for decades for," Rogan concluded.

DeSantis vowed Monday to not lock down Florida over the Omicron variant. "We will not let them lock you down. We will not let them take your jobs. We will not let them harm your businesses. We will not let them close your schools," he pledged.
