The Conservative Party, along with other opposition MPs, have voted to reopen the probe into what happened at the Winnipeg Microbiology Laboratory.

Earlier this year, two Chinese scientists with links to that country's army were escorted off the premises for undisclosed reasons. This followed an RCMP raid of the lab. These scientists also worked with the infamous Wuhan Institute of Virology, reports Blacklock's Reporter.

The Trudeau government took extraordinary steps to stop this from being disclosed, even suing the Speaker of the House of Commons. They also refused to release documents pertaining to this incident.

"We cannot leave things here," said one Bloc MP after they voted to probe this incident.

"It’s about transparency. It’s about respect for Parliament," said another NDP MP.

"If a majority of members in this place vote to produce documents they deem necessary to carry out their duty to the people they represent who elected them to be here, this must be complied with," he added.

"It’s unbelievable," said one Quebec-based Tory MP. "Never has a government been so low."

"It concerns not only the Official Opposition members but all parliamentarians in this House," he added. "This government fails to recognize the House is more important than anything else when we talk about parliamentary democracy."

Parliament recently re-elected Speaker Anthony Rota who fought for the House of Commons's right to hold Trudeau accountable.
