The Aspinwall Police Department in Pennsylvania is searching for a man captured on security camera allegedly targeting and harassing supporters of President Donald Trump at their homes.

Law enforcement said the incidents occurred between October 2024 and March 2025 in the community on the edge of Pittsburgh. According to a report by Newsweek, authorities said the incidents were politically motivated and are working to prevent copycat cases from arising.

The first recorded incident took place in October 2024, when the suspect stopped in front of a home displaying a Trump flag, approached the home, and began shouting obscenities at the residence. The homeowner reportedly watched in disbelief and tried to wave the suspect along. His security camera also captured footage of the man’s actions.

“I believe he targeted me because I had a Trump flag. I believe that it was politically motivated,” resident Donald Mazreku told TribLIVE.

A similar incident occurred on March 14, according to Aspinwall Police Chief David Nemec. The suspect, believed to be the same man, approached another home, walked onto the porch, and spit on the front door. A photo of the suspect has been distributed to neighboring police departments in an effort to identify him. "He seems to be targeting people with Trump flags and banners. He could just be driving around and when he sees one, it just sets him off," said Nemec.

"Our main thing is the safety for this community. Things like this really don't happen around here, so now that it's happened again, we don't want to see copycat people doing things like this, so we'd really like to get a handle on this and find this person,” Nemec told WTAE.

Police say the man is believed to be in his mid to late 40s or early 50s. He has been described as having short hair and glasses and is about 5-foot-10. He’s currently facing charges of disorderly conduct and trespassing.

The targeting of Trump supporters at their homes has been reported elsewhere. In October, some voters in the Philadelphia area received threatening letters warning them against voting for Trump. The letters, sent to individuals with Trump signs in their yards, stated, “This is a reminder that your visible support comes with a price and at a cost. There will be consequences."

The letter further warned, “We know where you live, you are in the data base. In the dead of a cold winters night, this year, or next and beyond, there is no knowing what will happen. Your property, your family may be impacted, your cat may get shot. And more."
