Pennsylvania 2020 election audit slated to go ahead amidst management shift

The story of the 2020 Election audit in Pennsylvania sees Doug Mastriano replaced by the likes of Jake Corman and Cris Dush.

Doug Mastriano told Forbes he didn’t want a “glorified recount” and questioned the integrity of whatever investigation Corman throws together.

This came even though Jake Corman told one radio host that audit proceedings and hearings would begin in the near future, and that he vowed to "conduct a thorough forensic audit of recent elections—including using our subpoena powers.”

Pennsylvania Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman saw Maricopa County, Arizona’s audit as at least some kind of standard to work off of.

This audit comes as a lawsuit over Fulton County, Pennsylvania’s voting machine audit is ongoing.

But as to the change of management, Senator Jake Corman’s appointment shift doesn’t come without baggage. Back on the 20th he told Steve Bannon during an interview that Doug Mastriano “quit” the audit, even though it’s argued that Corman fired Mastriano’s people.

The argument made by Senator Corman was that he and State Senator Cris Dush would prioritize the “legality” of their audit procedure.

In a statement issued by Corman that day, he said Mastriano was an “obstruction.”

“It is deeply disappointing that Senator Mastriano has retreated from conducting a forensic investigation of the election in Pennsylvania, and it is discouraging to realize that he was only ever interested in politics and showmanship and not actually getting things done."

That reasoning being why he changed him out for Cris Dush. Much to the disdain of the likes of Jenna Ellis, in response.

Earlier today, Senator Doug Mastriano issued a rebuttal.

In it, Mastriano argues that Corman was the “stonewall” force at hand. Given the moves made by Senator Corman earlier in August, Mastriano characterized it as “someone not wanting an audit.”
