Poilievre on being called one of 2020's 'worst' people by Toronto Star: 'couldn't care less'

"Mr. Poilievre is rarely ever aware of what is in the Toronto Star and couldn’t care less," a statement from Poilievre's office said.

Toronto Star columnist Heather Mallick released her list of "the worst people" of 2020 on Monday. To the surprise of no one familiar with Mallick's work, several conservative figures in Canada were listed, including Pierre Poilievre.

Why was Poilievre included? Mallick writes that it's because he is "bully mean."

"Party leader Erin O'Toole won't boot them out because he's too busy deploring elitist young people who leave their hometowns for the big city, thus creating an imaginary Canadian Appalachia that O'Toole hopes will bring him to populist power. It won't. We don't have the beards for it, nor the moonshine," Mallick wrote.

The Post Millennial reached out to Poilievre for a comment on his inclusion on the list, a spokesperson told us "Mr. Poilievre is rarely ever aware of what is in the Toronto Star and couldn't care less."

Mallick has gone after Poilievre's demeanor on other occasions. During the height WE Charity scandal, Mallick wrote that the Conservatives "looked desperate for a peg on which nasty Pierre Poilievre could hang his glasses and his little red wagon."
