Durham police investigating death deemed 'suspicious' after boy finds grandmother dead at home

An investigation is ongoing, and a post-mortem has been scheduled.

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) says they are investigating a death they deem suspicious that took place in Oshawa on Tuesday.

According to a statement from the DRPS, police were called to a residence on Philip Murray Avenue at around 3:30 pm.

Police discovered a young boy who had returned home to find his deceased grandmother.

The grandmother, 67, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is ongoing, and a post-mortem has been scheduled.
