Shortly after the election of Alberta's UCP Premier-elect Jason Kenney, the Quebec Legislature unanimously passed a motion stating that the Energy East pipeline, abandoned in 2017, "was not socially acceptable in Quebec."
The motion which was put forward by MLAs Manon Masse (QS), Sylvain Gaudreault (PQ), and Catherine Fournier (Independent).
