Establishment Democrats have reportedly been conducting a pressure campaign surrounding the family of Democrat candidate for US Senate in Montana Alani Bankhead to get her to drop out of the race so independent Seth Bodnar can step into the race while Democrat organizers back him.

According to leaked documents obtained by Editor-in-Chief of The Washington Reporter, Matt Foldi, Democrat operatives are working to push Bankhead out of the race in favor of Bodnar, who is backed by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer as well as former Montana Senator Jon Tester.

Foldi said that the documents came from "a dark money group showing how Democrats have an organized harassment campaign targeting Montana Democrat nominee @AlaniBankhead's family."

“The document is titled: ‘Montana Senate Seat: How to Help.’ It urges Democrats ‘who have relevant relationships’ to urge Bankhead to drop out of the race,” Foldi said in a post to X.

The documents reportedly contain personal information about family members and others in connection to Bankhead. The reported documents showed that Democrats are concerned that if Bankhead stays in the race, GOP nominee Kurt Alm would easily win the election. The documents also said that Democrats should downplay a past sexual discrimination lawsuit that was launched against Bodnar when he was serving as the University of Montana's president.

The deadline for Bodnar or Bankhead to drop out of the race is August 10. According to Breitbart News, Bodnar has also been weighing an exit from the Montana race if Bankhead refuses to drop out.
